Dog: Siberian Husky
Origins: Developed from dogs bred by the Chukchi people, a Siberian Eskimo tribe. Originally bred to pull sleds and for companionship.
Size: Medium. Larger individuals may be 60cm at the shoulder.
Physical Appearance: Striking beautiful, graceful, muscular; well-furred ears, almond-shaped eyes, arched neck; tail often carried curled over the back.
Characteristics: Friendly, independent, obstinate, athletic, intelligent, has a mind of its own, opportunistic.
Colors: All colors and markings acceptable.
Special Facts: Eyes may be blue or brown, or one of each color. Underneath the upper, coarser coat is a soft, downy, white undercoat that sheds itself in seemingly endless tufts once or twice a year!
